SUPER SQUAD

The Super Squad began in 1983 when the West Australian Baseball League advised Mr. Graham Johnson, the President of the Tee-Ball Association of Western Australia, that there was to be Country of Origin Baseball Game between United States baseballers and Australian baseballers currently playing in Western Australia. They asked if it would be possible to have a tee-ball game prior to this game as a promotion of tee-ball and baseball in Western Australia.

TBAWA decided to showcase the best talent in WA and put together two teams made up from the top players from the State Tee-ball Championships.

Now every year clubs from all over WA are asked to put forward their most outstanding players to try-out against some of the most fierce competition in the hopes of being selected as 1 of the 24 players in the Super Squad. These players represent the best abilities, attitudes and commitment in the state.

Being a Super Squad player sees them involved in activities such as an overnight camp, games at the Perth Heat stadium, games at Softball WA State Championships, games at club pre-state carnivals and a game at the Tee-ball State Championships.
