As a player there is training once a week after school for 1 hour and games are played on Saturday mornings at Springdale Oval, Karragullen. Games run for 1 hour and players need to get there 20-30 minutes before for warm up.
Games run between 8am - midday. Each age group gets its own timeslot that remains the same all season. One at 8am, 9.15am and 10.30am. This makes it easier for parents with multiple children to be able to watch every child's game.

Please note there are a few twilight games per season played on a Friday night instead of Saturday. These will be advised at start of season.
There is also opportunity to participate in extra trainings for carnivals and State teams if the player wants to get involved.

What’s involved as a parent?

One of the 4 F’s of Tee-ball is Family Involvement. To support the team it is expected that parents contribute to a range of duties throughout the season including scoring, base umpiring, bench managing, base coaching and providing after game snacks. There will be a roster at start of season evenly dividing these duties amongst the team. You can also volunteer to coach, assistant coach, plate umpire or be a team manager if this is of interest. Training is provided for all duties with no experience required.
What qualifications do I need to plate umpire?

TBAWA runs umpiring training days to become a qualified umpire. If this is something you are interested in please reach out to our Umpires Co-Ordinator.
For our Under 8s games we welcome players from our Under 13s to umpire. We firmly believe at RDS that you need to start somewhere so giving the older players opportunity to practice umpiring is something we encourage. As a parent, coach and player we owe all umpires utmost respect. No disrespectful behaviour will be tolerated. We are all here to have fun and do our best in a safe and supportive environment.

Creating teams involves a lot of work ensuring teams are put together with an even spread of skill level to ensure fair competition across the club. Sometimes not all requests can be granted. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
